A Vocabingo mobile app is on the way

We are building a native Android app that will land on the Google Play Store soon. The web app you use today continues exactly as it is.

We are happy to announce that a Vocabingo mobile app is officially in development. In the coming weeks it will land on the Google Play Store, bringing the same calm, editorial learning experience you know from the web to your phone. This is a milestone we have been working toward for a long time, and we wanted to share the progress with you now rather than wait for launch day.

Nothing changes for current users

If you use Vocabingo on the web today, absolutely nothing changes. Your account, your streak, your daily goal, your review queue, your Pro subscription — all of it stays exactly where it is. The web app is not being replaced, deprecated, or slowed down. It will continue to receive the same feature updates and language additions as before. The mobile app is an addition, not a migration.

Why we are building a mobile app

Language learning happens in the pockets of your day. On the bus, in a queue, waiting for coffee. A vocabulary app should meet you there. Bringing Vocabingo to Google Play means one tap to open, offline-friendly review sessions, push notifications you can actually rely on, and the kind of quick daily rhythm that makes ten minutes a day feel effortless. This is the next step in making spaced repetition genuinely accessible to more learners.

What to expect at launch

  • All five languages supported — French, Polish, English, Spanish and Italian
  • The same spaced repetition method and daily review cap you use on the web
  • Full sync with your existing account, streak, and progress
  • Native Android notifications for review reminders and streak protection
  • The same clean, quiet interface, tuned for one-handed use
  • Free plan and Pro plan available exactly as on the web

When will it be available

The app is in active development and moving fast through internal review. We are not putting a hard date on the Play Store listing yet — we would rather ship it right than ship it early. We will announce the release day here on the blog and via email to subscribed users, and existing Vocabingo accounts will work immediately on first sign-in.

Free to download, one account across web and mobile

The Vocabingo mobile app itself will be free to download from the Google Play Store. Your Free or Pro plan is managed on the website — vocabingo.com — and carries across to the app automatically. Sign in on the phone with the same account you use on the web, and whatever tier you are on today is exactly what you will have on mobile. Upgrading, changing billing, or cancelling all stay on the web, which keeps things simple and unified: one account, one subscription, both platforms.

An iOS version?

Android and Google Play come first. We are focusing there because that is where the majority of our early mobile requests have come from and where our team can ship the tightest first version. An iOS build is on the roadmap and will follow once the Android release is stable in production.

One method, one account, wherever you learn. Web, phone, on the way to work — the same careful vocabulary curriculum, always in sync.
