Why flashcards are the fastest way to learn French vocabulary
French shares roughly 30% of its vocabulary with English through Latin roots - which means an English speaker's first 500 French words come faster than almost any other language. The challenge is retention: French words that look familiar are easy to recognise but hard to produce under pressure.
